Can all trees be trimmed the same?

No. Different species of trees require specialized care to ensure their maximum growth potential and health. By working with an ArborDocs Certified Arborist, your tree will stay healthy and beautiful for years to come.

Are there safety requirements for trimming trees?

Yes. We adhere to industry endorsed and accepted standards for tree care and safety. As ISA certified arborists, safety and tree health are our primary concerns.

When should I trim my tree?

Tree trimming and pruning are most often performed to retain the beauty and shape of the tree. But tree pruning also reduces the risk of disease. Standard tree maintenance should accomplish any or all of the following:

  • Removal of dead wood, diseased wood, and mistletoe
  • Removal of broken or stubbed limbs
  • Control or reduction of insect and disease problems
  • Weight reduction of tree limb ends to reduce the risk of breakage
  • Provide for air filtration through the canopy to reduce the risk of breakage during heavy winds
  • Crown reduction and tree restructuring
  • Correct conflicting or crossing limbs
  • Light filtration to provide sufficient light to plantings beneath the canopy
